DISTANT  COUSINS

Everyone alive today had about one billion living ancestors around 1,000 years ago. However, it is impossible for this to be one billion different ancestors since the world's population did not reach one billion till after 1800 A.D.      If we trace everyone's family tree long enough, we will eventually discover that we are all distant cousins. It took 22½ years to discover the common ancestors of Michael and Jeannie COLE. Their branches cross in the mid-1700's in Virginia.
